1. Our service

RecoverWise, operating from India, provides independent support to people affected by online fraud: reviewing information you provide, organising evidence, mapping public blockchain transactions, and suggesting reporting and escalation steps.

1a. Fees

The initial case review is free and carries no obligation. Optional paid services (currently the Evidence Pack and Investigation) are charged at the fixed prices published on our pricing page at the time you accept a quote, plus GST where applicable. You will only be invoiced after your free review, and only if you choose to proceed. We never charge a percentage of any funds recovered and never charge fees to “release” funds. This website does not accept online payments. To proceed with a paid service, email [email protected]; we will issue an invoice from an @recoverwise.org address, and payment is accepted only by bank transfer to the RecoverWise business account named on that invoice — never to a personal UPI ID, in cryptocurrency or in gift cards.

You may cancel for a full refund at any time before work on a paid service begins. If a delivered service does not match its published description, contact us and we will remedy it or refund you. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 are not affected.

2. What we are not

RecoverWise is not a law firm, bank, regulator, the cyber cell or any government or law-enforcement agency, and is not affiliated with any of them. Nothing on this website or in our communications is legal or financial advice. We cannot freeze, seize or return funds, and we do not guarantee any outcome, including the recovery of any money.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Provide information that is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • Only upload material you have the right to share, and never upload passwords, seed phrases, private keys or full card numbers.
  • Keep your login details secure and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Do not use the service to harass anyone, to make false reports, or for any unlawful purpose.

4. Reporting to third parties

You remain responsible for deciding whether and where to report the fraud. We will only share your information with third parties with your explicit permission, unless required by law.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and to respond promptly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or particular response times. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service or from actions taken by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

8. Contact and grievances

General queries: [email protected]. Grievances: [email protected] (see the Grievance Officer section of our privacy notice).
